Australiska Cosmic P sychos är en punkrockinstitution som sedan starten 1982 har byggt upp en k ultstatus långt utanför hemlandet. Med Ross Knight i spetsen har bandet un der fyra decennier levererat elva album av sin kompromisslösa mix av fuzzi ga gitarrer, wah-wah-bas och rå, humoristisk punkrock.
Bandets infly tande sträcker sig långt bortom den australiska punkscenen. The Prodigy sa mplade deras musik på The Fat of the Land (1997), medan Nirvanas producent Butch Vig har pekat ut Cosmic Psychos som en viktig inspiration för både Nirvana och hela Seattles grungescen. Även Pearl Jams Eddie Vedder har hyl lat bandets betydelse.
2013 fick deras historia nytt liv genom dokum entären Blokes You Can Trust, där flera profiler från den internationella indiescenen berättade om bandets stora avtryck i musikhistorien. Sedan des s har Cosmic Psychos fortsatt att vinna nya fans världen över.
2023 firade Cosmic Psychos imponerande 40 år som band. Och nu, 2026, är de till baka med ett nytt album, I Really Like Beer, samt en turné som den 15 juli når Debaser Nova.
